Searching for Spice is a terrific debut novel by Megan DiMaria. In the story, Linda Revere wants to add some spark to her marriage. It's difficult to find the time, with two kids living at home, but she tries get creative. Things don't really work out as planned, especially with a clueless husband. Comical and mostly failed attempts leave her a little frustrated, but she continues on with her ideas of creating a romantic marriage and a more attentive husband. A turn of events involving one of the children throw the plan off and leave Linda with emotions and feelings that must be addressed. Maybe romance is something totally different than what she thought?
Twists and turns in circumstances and emotions kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. A highly satisfying ending that will, hopefully, inspire readers to look at relationships in a totally different way.
Looking forward to the next book by Megan DiMaria.
