The sports world can be so tough and sometimes the only goal is winning. Even parents sometimes lose sight of what the real prize is - builidng integrity and character, even in loss. This is a true story of a high school team that learned valuable life lessons that will remain with them throughout their life. If all of our teams and our coaches had this vision, we could change the world. Loved the book and I highly recommend it. Even for parents that do not have athletic kids -- these lessons can be applied to all walks of life.

The Hunger Games

ok, I decided to read this to find out what all the fuss is about. I'm about 1/2 way through and I can say it's mesmerizing and really odd at the same time. Very unusual, but is a little creepy if you think too deeply about it.
