Though now an adult, she still relates to the trauma and drama of teen life. She is thrilled to see her writing dreams come true, as her previous claim to fame was singing the Star Spangled Banner at a mule-jumping championship. MY Review:
If you haven’t read the first two books of this series, you have really missed out on some great fun!
All three books are hilarious and heart warming with a cast of characters that quickly become friends of the reader. Maxine, the foster grandmother of Katie Parker, is now one of my all time favorite book characters. This series is one of the funniest I’ve ever read, but it’s more than that. It really grabbed my heart in ways that I did not expect. The Big Picture really hits on some pretty deep issues and handles the problems of addiction very realistically and honestly.
My only complaint is that The Big Picture is supposed to be the last book in the Katie Parker series - I want more Katie Parker stories – three is just not enough when the books are this good!
This series will be enjoyed by pre-teens, teens, and adults of all ages.
